10 Signs It’s a Migraine

Is it a headache, a migraine or something else completely? These 10 signs may help you identify when a migraine is to blame for your discomfort or pain.

1. Eye Pain 

Some patients discover they are suffering from migraines the first time after going to get their eyes checked. This is because migraine pain can make it feel like you’ve been straining your eyes.

2. Throbbing on Sides of Head

It’s like a headache but so much worse. Pulsing, throbbing pain on one or both sides of the head is a tell-tale sign that you are experiencing a migraine.

3. Neck Pain  

When a migraine hits you, the pain doesn’t always stay in the head. It often radiates down to the neck in a throbbing sensation. It can also cause your neck to feel stiff.

4. Sinus Pain

Sensitivity to light is one of the most common symptoms of a migraine. Even lights that aren’t particularly bright may seem blinding, and noises that aren’t particularly loud can seem deafening. Light and sounds usually intensify the pain for people suffering from a migraine. 

10. Feeling Hungover

It’s not uncommon to feel like you have a bad hangover after your migraine is over. You may feel exhausted, weak, dizzy and even experience trouble concentrating.
